Events & Community Engagement Manager Role Description

Mattr Media is a London based video content agency on a mission to help brands tell stories that well, matter. Part of that mission means sharing our knowledge on how you actually tell those meaningful stories for today’s audiences and that’s where you come in… Your role will be organising, marketing and promoting our work around building meaningful brands, as well as adding value wherever you can for our amazing clients.

We are a very small team, we’ve been around for a few years now but we maintain the start-up mentality and agile business model, this means we don’t have the corporate structure of a larger traditional agency with a ‘ladder’ for you to climb. If however, you want to grow into your role in a still growing company free from bureaucracy and pigeon holes in an environment that encourages and applauds initiative, then this is the place for you.

The sort of things you’ll be in charge of:

  • Helping to organise and promote our “Build A Brand Movement” panel events and breakfast workshops

  • Writing regular opinion pieces around the subject of brand communications

  • Taking charge of our bi annual whitepapers

  • Creating and distributing our monthly newsletters

  • Promoting Mattr’s new work and creating case studies on them

  • Entering our work into relevant awards

The other things you’ll get up to:

  • Supporting our production managers when coordinating client projects

  • On-set content creation

  • Working alongside our social video creator to release and promote regular social content

  • Helping manage our social media channels

  • Creating relationships with relevant journalists

Your strengths include:

  • A passion for the world of branded content & advertising

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Excellent writing ability

  • Experience in event management

  • Experience of content marketing strategy (or passion to learn)

  • Ability to budget and handle marketing budgets efficiently

  • Efficient with timing, self-scheduling tasks to meet deadlines

  • A good understanding of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, youtube specifically)

  • A good understanding of content distribution strategy (paided, earned & owned)

  • Proficient in using mailchimp, eventbrite, and CRM software

Additional "nice to haves" would be:

  • Proficient in Apple software (keynote, pages, excel etc)

  • Knowledge of optimising content for social channels

  • Previous experience working with a creative agency or video content agency

  • A blackbook of relevant contacts in traditional PR.

  • Connections with brands and like-minded agencies

Your package looks like this:

  • 3-month initial trial

  • £20k salary (negotiable depending on experience)
