The Brief: To mark the 40 year anniversary of their most popular car, VW & Tribal wanted to produce a GIF that could turn the evolution of the Golf GTI into reality.

The Solution:  We found the incredible illustrator Helen Green and together created one of VW’s most liked posts on their Instagram channel. We paired this with a “making of” film which was subsequently released across Facebook and Twitter.

Why it Mattr’d: We knew that VW would produce subsequent cars and (dependent on the success of the original project) would want some room to add new models to the GIF. Only 6months later and our plan to enable them to do this paid off…
