The problem: Global gifting and celebrations company, International Greetings were in the process of unifying 14 disparate businesses and brands, spanning 9 countries and 1,200 staff by rebranding under one name: Design Group. They needed a communication strategy that aligned their global senior team, galvanised the staff and instilled confidence in the market.
The Solution: By conducting a series of stakeholder interviews, we aimed to unify everyone under one creative solution and appoint brand ambassadors in all 14 offices. To honor the company's rich heritage we created an animated story of the history and evolution of the business, which we used to show investors for the company’s roadshow.
We then produced a test film to get global buy in from the senior team for an internal campaign where we traveled the globe capturing personal stories, film, photo and written content from employees, each producing a unique puzzle piece. We constructed a giant jigsaw puzzle that physically manifested the coming together of the different offices.
Why It Mattr’d: We smashed it! The share price has sky-rocketed by over 400% since the rebrand and we saw an unprecedented 85% staff engagement from 1,200 proud employees. In the process, we created mountains of amazing social content for the future (including 10,000 photos!). And to top it all off, Design Group won the Transform Award for Best International Rebrand.
